Second-Order Bilinear Discriminant Analysis
Traditional analysis methods for single-trial classification of electro-encephalography (EEG) focus on two types of paradigms: phase-locked methods, in which the amplitude of the signal is used as the feature for classification, that is, event related potentials; and second-order methods, in which the feature of interest is the power of the signal, that is, event related (de)synchronization. Th...
متن کاملStabilizability of Second Order Bilinear Systems
This note states necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a linear state feedback controller such that a second-order bilinear system has a globally asymptotically stable closed loop. A suitable controller is constructed for each system which satisfies the conditions. Comments Copyright 1983 IEEE. متن کاملModels with Second Order Properties V: A General Principle
We present a general framework for carrying out the constructions in [2-10] and others of the same type. The unifying factor is a combinatorial principle which we present in terms of a game in which the first player challenges the second player to carry out constructions which would be much easier in a generic extension of the universe, and the second player cheats with the aid of ♦. §1 contain...
متن کاملTHIRD-ORDER AND FOURTH-ORDER ITERATIVE METHODS FREE FROM SECOND DERIVATIVE FOR FINDING MULTIPLE ROOTS OF NONLINEAR EQUATIONS
In this paper, we present two new families of third-order and fourth-order methods for finding multiple roots of nonlinear equations. Each of them requires one evaluation of the function and two of its first derivative per iteration. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the performance of the presented methods.
